What will your new normal look like?

Probably like a lot of you, things have been overwhelming lately. So many feelings, so much stuff going on and your mind is trying to wrap itself around everything that’s happening right now. Most of us have not been through anything like this pandemic. We’ve been through some tragedies, we’ve been through things that we had to overcome, but this is big right? So I had to wrap my head around what the hell was going on and a lot of feelings came up for me and I was tired, I was exhausted and I just wanted my blanket and netflix and I didn’t want to show my face. If you felt that way at all in the past few weeks, you’re not alone. There are definitely a lot more of us that are feeling that way. There is no right or wrong right now. Your Brand Messaging - Writing your copy

Compelling content should tell a story, be captivating, be clear, and evoke emotion.

There are different types of content:

  • Longform content, blog podcasts and video. These things are called longform because they have a lot of words and you can repurpose them easily. 
  • Short form content includes posts, stories, short videos on Instagram stories. All of those are short form and you want to create a system that works for you that breaks down your long form into smaller posts and repurpose your content. There’s no reason you have to be on that content creation hamster wheel and be creating new content all the time. 

Then distribute your content everywhere you are online.

Use automated scheduling, but make sure you’re staying true to the platform you’re posting to. Do not push Instagram posts to Facebook. It’s lazy and your Facebook audience will feel second best.

I'm sure a lot of you have heard the quote, or saying that you need to be authentic when it comes to your brand. And people are like, what does that even mean? I think we all know the word authentic means being real, being the true you.

When it comes to branding, or being online, I think that maybe we're not completely clear about what that means. So, let’s talk about it.

Being authentic means coming from a real place within, within you. It's when our actions, and our words are congruent with our beliefs and values. It's being ourselves, not an imitation of what we think we should be or have been told we should be.
